Sunday School

To our Church Family and our Sunday School Parents and Families,

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” - Matthew 19:14

Summer is ending, and we hope it has provided some quality time for you to enjoy family and friends while staying healthy and safe in a world of many concerns.

A new school year has begun, and we are all blessed to be offering a masked, in-person class time with your children this year. As with ongoing Covid concerns, policies change depending on CDC requirements and current virus status, and we will be following all the recommendations as well.

Classes will begin for K-5 on Sunday, September 17th during worship (10:30 am) and will meet each Sunday EXCEPT for the first Sunday of every month. We hope that your children will be joining you for worship on each Communion Sunday.

We will welcome our Kindergarten through 2nd graders in our upstairs classroom starting at 10:30 am on Sunday mornings with Kelly Greaney leading the class. Our 3rd-5th graders will also meet upstairs at that time as well.

We are excited to be sharing our new Sunday School curriculum, ‘Simply Loved’- a place where kids experience God’s greatest gift through fellowship, crafts, music, and lesson time.

A program we are proud of is KIC (pronounced KICK). KIC stands for ‘Kids in Church.’ This is a special time set aside and designed especially for our 6th-8th graders with Cindy Mayer leading the class. We will meet on Monday nights from 5-6 pm. Classes will start on September 25th. This will be a time of lesson, fellowship, and fun and a new beginning for our young adults as they move forward in their faith journey. We hope this class time will be a help in the scheduling of your very busy middle schooler’s calendar. As with our other classes, we will NOT be meeting the first Monday of each month.

We are currently in need of teachers and teacher aides for all our classes for this program of faith to continue and move ahead. If you can assist every week or just once a month or once a quarter, we need you. Please contact Jenny Strickland - with ways you can help.

We are open to feedback and suggestions to make this year a time for all our children to grow in God’s love.

We are glad you have chosen to have your children be a part of our Sunday School program, and we pray for your continued blessings.
