United Presbyterian Church of Millstone

We are a welcoming family of God's people working to strengthen Christian faith for all. Inspired by God's gifts we nurture spiritual growth, prayer, healing, unity and peace. In this place of worship, we serve as the one body of Christ through our shared love and care for each other, our local community and the larger world.

Come Worship with Us

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

—Psalm 27:1

PCM Lent Study

Who?: You!
What?: Low Anthropology: The Unlikely Key to a Gracious View of Others (and Yourself) by David Zahl

Where?: Zoom - https://zoom.us/j/96578059535
When?: 7:00 PM on Sunday, 2/26, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 3/26

Summary: On the Sunday evenings of Lent, we will meet together to discuss David Zahl's new book entitled, Low Anthropology. Here is a link to Zahl's book announcement and a little on why he wrote the book and here is a fun video of Zahl introducing the book. As we make our journey through Lent, this book will help us to think "low-ly" about ourselves and others to the end that we might learn to show ourselves and others abundant grace. Feel free to get a hard copy, eBook, or audiobook version. You can order the book anywhere books are sold. It is available here at Amazon. I'm not sure if the book is available through the Monmouth County Library system, but I was able to listen to the audiobook version for free using the Hoopla app with my Mercer County Libray account. For the first, meeting, we will aim to have read the Introduction and the first chapter ending at page 42.
